Research

My research is rooted in Tanzania, where I have conducted long-term ethnographic fieldwork since 2013. Across my two main projects, I am drawn to the slow persistence of colonial health infrastructures, and to the creative ways that people inhabit and remake them. I tell the stories of interconnected bodies, landscapes, and intergenerational kinship ties, with attention to the political temporalities of care and enclosure that run through them.
